Arrival time for Friday mornings Fox 8 news gig is 5:15 a.m. Students will dress in their uniforms and travel over to RRHS. We will be back around the start of second block.
RIVER/BAY BAND FOOD DRIVE
In recent years, there has been a food drive involving the students from both schools, and when we learned that was not planned for this year, we thought we would start it ourselves!! So, there are two parts to this effort which will support the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and will run through the end of October:
- For the game on October 23rd v. Rocky River, both Bay and River Band students are asked to bring a little extra with them in their gig bags: non-perishable food items! We will collect items from both bands at the game and deliver it to the Food Bank the next day. They should bring what they can reasonably carry over to River in their gig bags- a couple cans is fine. The Food Bank’s most-needed items are listed HERE.
- We want to involve the whole community, so we are also asking for donations through JustGiving that will go directly to the Food Bank on our behalf. Family members, neighbors, alumni, really anyone can donate. This is not a competition with River- we’re all in this together! Attendance time for Friday’s game at RRHS will be 6 p.m. We will combine with the River band for two tunes during halftime. Should be a great show!
Both evening practices are normal times this week.
The Varsity Concert is next Tuesday, 10/27 at 7 p.m. This is a ticketed event. Please plan ahead for this fun concert. Attendance time will be 6:15 p.m. We do not wear hats or gloves at this event. We will also play for Bay middle school during the day on the 27th. Busy but great last week and a half of Marching band season!
