Attendance for Friday’s home game vs. Rocky River is 6 p.m. Seniors (and senior parents) will need to be up on the track by 6:15 p.m., so when they leave to put their gig bags in the stands they will just stay out there. They will need everything with them for the game at that point. Please see the letter from Mr. Spellman with Senior night info:
Some people saw the Ohio University Marching Band doing the same parade dance we do over the weekend. This is a story I tell the kids every year but it doesn’t usually get home. As the story goes, Doug Day (band director at BHS from around 1977-2003) was a student at Ohio U in the trombone section. One night coming back from a game the trombone section was called out for not marching properly on the way back. They were asked to do what they were doing for the Ohio U band director and he loved it. He told the trombone section to teach it to everyone else. So, when Doug got to Bay, he brought that drum cadence and the moves with him and it has been a Bay Rocket Marching Band tradition ever since. Check out the short video of Ohio U doing the funk:

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to help with uniforms for Friday’s home game vs. Rocky River. Please sign up below if you are able:
Uniform helpers will help distribute and inspect uniforms at BHS before or after the game. Pre-game helpers should report to the high school 45 minutes before Mr. Allen’s attendance time.
