District Ohio Music Educator’s Adjudicated Event: A Capella Choir

Dear A Cappella Singers, Parents, and Guardians,

The BHS A Cappella Choir will perform at the Ohio Music Education Association’s Large Group Adjudicated Event on Friday, March 6. The contest will be held at:

Elyria High School
601 Middle Ave.
Elyria, OH 44035

• Please be in the choir room at 3:30 p.m.
• Please wear appropriate concert attire.
• Girls, to maintain a uniform and professional look, please refrain from wearing necklaces or bracelets.
• Black shoes and white socks ONLY!
• The bus will leave from BHS right at 4:00 p.m.
• We will arrive at Elyria High School at 4:30 p.m.
• We will head to the warm-up room at 5:00 p.m.
• Our performance time is 5:20 p.m.
• Sight-reading will begin at 5:40 p.m.
• We will leave from Elyria High School at 6:20 p.m. or sooner if we can!
• We should arrive at BHS no later than 6:45 p.m./7:00 p.m.
• Food will be available for purchase at the high school.
• Be sure to bring water.
• Please do not bring anything of value with you.
• Your behavior reflects not only on yourself but also on BHS and the Music Department. Please uphold our standards of conduct at all times.

I am very proud of the A Cappella Choir this year and am eager to perform our contest pieces. The performance is open to the public. It is a required event and is graded. If there is a conflict, please let me know ASAP.
