Bay Music Boosters is joining with local organizations, including the Cleveland Orchestra, to Play It Forward Cleveland!. Play It Forward is collecting gently used musical instruments, which will get a new life as instruments used for music education in Cleveland schools. Even if your trumpet needs some minor repairs, Play It Forward will accept it. If you don’t have an old guitar in the attic, you can still help out with a monetary donation that will be used to refurbish and repair the donated instruments.
BMB is collecting instruments for Play It Forward from February 5-February 28.
- Instrument donations can be dropped off at Bay High School during regular school hours. Outside of school hours, please contact Ginny Holup at email@example.com to make other arrangements.
- Monetary donations can mailed to the Music Boosters via Bay High School or by using the PayPal link below. Checks should be made out to “Bay Music Boosters” with “Play It Forward” noted on the memo line.
All donors will be asked to complete Play It Forward Cleveland’s instrument donation form. Play It Forward Cleveland! Donation Form This allows the organization to better identify instruments that they’ve received, and send out tax receipts to donors. These forms will also be made available at the collection sites.
Bay Music Boosters will deliver the donated instruments and repair funds to Severance Hall on March 9th as part of the community effort to support music education in the Cleveland schools.
