Believe it or not, it is already time to begin preparing for the Ballroom Blitz. For those of you who are new to our program, the Ballroom Blitz is a dinner/dance featuring our Jazz Ensemble, Stage Band, BMS Jazz Band, Choraleers, and Orchestra Honors Quintet. There is an auction and we also raffle off our Bay Rocket Marching Band for a performance. This event is our second largest fundraiser of the year. This year the Blitz will be held on April 25, 2020.
This will be my 5th and final year chairing this event. It has been an honor to be a part of Ballroom Blitz, but it is time to pass the torch. I am looking for someone or perhaps a group interested in learning how to plan this event. I am also looking to fill the following committees for this year’s Blitz:
Fundraising Committee: 3-4 people interested in collecting donations for the auction, making the baskets, and overseeing the auction during the Blitz.
Decorating Committee: Help to plan and execute the decorations for the Blitz. We will work within a budget to transform the high school cafeteria into our theme.
Beverage Station: 1-2 people to set up and maintain the beverage station during the Blitz and clean up after the event.
